Novira Therapeutics raised $2.5 million in a second round of seed financing Tuesday.

The Radnor, Pa., biopharmaceutical company is developing treatments for viral diseases including hepatitis B and HIV.

BioAdvance, Novira’s initial investor after the company was launched in 2009, also participated in the round.
